Meeting Space - The Convention Level

The Convention Level was specially designed to accommodate exhibitions of all types, from delicate instrumentation to heavy, industrial vehicles.Accessing the Convention Level exhibit space is easy, even with the heaviest equipment. The International Plaza Ballroom and the Florida and Orlando Ballrooms were designed with extra-large doorways which can accommodate large props such as automobiles, and the use of hydraulic lifts for spectacular displays.

Loading Areas

Three separate street-level loading areas are available for the Florida, Orlando, and Plaza International ballrooms for easy load in/out. Access to all three ballrooms is located on the north end of the hotel.
Florida 1, Orlando 1, Plaza A and Plaza F have larger roll-up doors for easy access. An elevated loading dock is also available for large trucks. Dock height is adjustable up to 4'.

Telephone Specifications

Each meeting room is equipped with a one line touchtone wall phone (Gulf, Atlantic and Endeavor have desk style phones). These are house extensions, with dial in through the switchboard (407 352 4000). Calling access can be in house only; local and in house; or long distance, local and in house (9+ required for outside call access). If desired, access may be made through a PBX operator by use of a password, and may be restricted at specified time periods. Wall phones may be replaced upon request with desk style phones.

All meeting rooms have multiple position jacks to allow for installation of additional lines. These lines are direct in dial (may be dialed directly without going through switchboard). Single line analog telephones, with dataport, are provided. Multiple line feature phones (digital) may also be specified, with a range of features including forward, conference, hunting, transfer, hold and other custom programming.

BALLROOMS

Telephone service may be brought into the ballrooms upon request. We provide exhibit telephone installations as well as other special set up requests.

Public Areas

There is a phone capability outside each ballroom and in various other locations throughout the preconvention foyer and west lobby, as well as selected areas on the recreation, mezzanine, and main lobby levels.

Outside the ballrooms, a single line analog desk style phone may be provided. An additional direct in dial line may be ordered, and multiple lines may be provided at various locations.

Data and Special Requests

Our standard analog lines are suitable for fax and most modem access. Complete cost summaries will be provided for complex requirements, custom cabling, and special projects.

Private lines may be obtained through BellSouth (advance order required). These lines are not subject to hotel call charge structure and do not require "dial 9" access, as they are independent of the hotel PBX switch. High speed data circuits (e.g., ISDN, TI, etc.) are also available through BellSouth or your designated service provider. All internal wiring is performed by The Peabody Orlando.

Telecommunications will assist with coordinating your order with BellSouth to ensure smooth and timely installation.
