MAUREENBRIGID GONZALEZ
Public Relations Director

Ms Gonzalez, a native of Dublin, Ireland, was educated in Dublin and Cambridge, U.K., and has an advanced degree in English literature. She began her travel/tourism career in the marketing department of the Irish Tourist Board in Dublin. Subsequently, she worked in external development at the Imperial College of Science & Technology, University of London, was involved in rural broadcasting and literacy programs for Unesco in Paris, France, and worked on editorial projects and international protocol with United Nations agencies in Geneva, Switzerland, such as the GATT, ILO and World Health Organization.

In the years prior to joining The Peabody Orlando, Ms Gonzalez was director of public relations for La Costa Resort an Spa in California.

She has appeared on TV travel shows all over the world, and her travel, arts and culture text and photo features, appear in such publications as The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, The San Diego Union, The Miami Herald, Marie Claire Magazine, The Robb Report, Town & Country Magazine, and in more than 70 newspapers and magazines around the world.

She is married to American foreign correspondent and SATW (Society of American Travel Writers) President-Elect, Arky Gonzalez. The couple is relocating in the Orlando area.
