THE PEABODY ORLANDO ADDS THREE NEW SALES MANAGER POSITIONS

ORLANDO, FLA -- April 28, 2004--

The Peabody Orlando announces the addition of three sales manager positions. “We needed additional hospitality sales professionals to help us manage the upturn in our meetings and conventions business,” said Donna Brinson, director of sales for the luxury, 891-room, 57,000 sq. ft. landmark hotel on International Drive.

“Our new sales managers, Deborah L. Potter, Penny Grace and Elisa L. Perdomo, bring solid hotel sales experience and expertise to the table. They are a great addition to our Peabody sales team.”

Deborah L. Potter, senior sales manager, west coast, brings fifteen years of top level experience in hospitality sales management and operations to The Peabody Orlando. She previously worked in sales and catering positions for PGA National Resort & Spa, Palm Beach Gardens, FL., and Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club, Vero Beach, FL. Ms Potter held a senior sales management position at Walt Disney World Resorts, Vero Beach, FL., and served on that property’s executive committee for five years where she gained invaluable, upper management experience and expertise in all aspects of hotel sales, marketing, F+B, catering and operations. She also held a senior sales management position at the Orlando Marriott Resort and Hotel and at the Timacuan Golf & Country Club, Lake Mary, FL. Ms Potter is a member of Meeting Planners International, Insurance Conference Planners Association, and former board member of the National Association of Catering Executives.

Penny Grace, small meetings sales manager, comes to The Peabody Orlando with over ten years experience in the hospitality/meetings industry. Born and educated in the United Kingdom, Ms Grace began her hotel sales management career in 1990, with the Marriott Corporation/Renaissance Orlando Resort where she received the Chairman’s Circle Award and the Golden Circle Award for exceeding personal revenue goals. Ms Grace was responsible for generating revenues for fourteen brands of hotels within the Marriott Lodging portfolio, identifying and providing the property that best met the needs of her clients. She also worked for Universal Orlando Resorts & Hotels, and was involved in the launch of the Hard Rock Hotel, the Portofino Bay Hotel and the Royal Pacific Resort. Ms Grace attended Wulfruna College of Further Education in England, and received the Certificate of London Chambers of Commerce in Business Management.

Elisa L. Perdomo, small meetings sales manager, began her hotel career in 1994 at the Dragon Hill Lodge in Seoul, South Korea where she learned the basics of hotel operations and management. In 1995 she returned to the U.S. as assistant hotel manager for Hyatt Regency Chicago, followed by a stint at the Westin Tabor Center, Denver, CO. In 1997, Mrs. Perdomo moved to Florida and was appointed executive meetings sales coordinator at the Orlando World Center Marriott with responsibility for group catering and convention services. In 1999 she moved to Marriott International, Orlando, Fl., as account manager, maximizing revenue through bookings for fourteen hotels across multiple brands. She presented and sold all Marriott Lodging products according to client needs.

Prior to joining The Peabody Orlando, Mrs. Perdomo was part of the pre-opening team for the Hard Rock Hotel, Royal Pacific Resort and also generated group revenue for the Portofino Bay Hotel, all in Orlando, FL.

Mrs. Perdomo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Business, Michigan State University, and a Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix.
